Educational Visits

Our children love having the opportunity to go on school trips and it is often when some of the best learning happens. We know that hands-on experience is an essential part of education and pride ourselves on providing as many opportunities as possible for our children to learn outside of the classroom, whether out and about locally or further afield. Each year group will take part in at least one educational visit off-site, which is carefully planned across our curriculum to not only enhance curriculum areas, where applicable, but also to ensure that children are able to experience a number of sightseeing experiences, castles, beaches, museums, gallery and theatre experiences within their time at the school.

At Snodland CEP, we also value the importance of fieldwork within the local area and each year group will have a carefully planned fieldwork opportunity to support our Geography Curriculum. Similarly, within our RE curriculum we ensure that children have the opportunity to visit a range of places of worship to enhance their religious thinking. Throughout a child's time at Snodland CEP, all children have the opportunity to visit the local church, a cathedral, Synagogue, Gurdwarda and a mosque. During Year Five and Year Six there is a residential trip for those who wish to take part, which is an excellent opportunity for children to work on their team-building skills. Within the local areas we also have great links with our local secondary schools; often taking part in workshops or activities led by the secondary staff and children.
