Physical Education

At Snodland CEP School, all our children take part in a wide range of activities that promote their individual health and wellbeing. As a school, all our children undertake moderate to high intensity at least twice a week through their two hours of structured physical education sessions.

The aims of the National Curriculum for Physical Education ensure that all pupils:

·         develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities

·         are physically active for a sustained period of time

·         engage in competitive sports and activities

·         lead healthy, active lives

After School Clubs

At Snodland CEP School, we believe passionately in providing opportunities for all children to develop whatever skills and talents they may have. We arrange special events such as sports week and sponsored events to inspire a love of learning and offer many extra-curricular activities outside of school time.

Examples of extra-curricular clubs include:

Football, Netball, Recorders, Choir, Art, Dance, Weaving, Interactive Maths, Ground Force, Mindfulness, 4 Square, Running, Ball Games, Caterpillar Cricket, Mini Beast, Construction, Indoor Olympics, Yoga, Card Making and Comic Book Club.

Many other clubs are often organised and offered to the children throughout the year.

School Games Mark

We are delighted to announce that we, Snodland CEP School, have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We are so proud of the children who took part in local inter-school competitions this year for their dedication to all aspects of school sport.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
